Trusting God in the End Times

The only way to be prepared for the things to come.

Exod 33:13-14 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Moses knew that God loved Him, and that knowledge gave him confidence in prayer to God. Moses knew God, but he wanted to know Him better and to know His will, so that he could be more pleasing to Him. Therefore, Moses prayed to God and asked Him to teach him His ways. God answered the prayer of Moses, by going with him and leading him for the next forty years. God is also with everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, and He continues to teach us of Himself and to lead us throughout our entire life.

Neh 9:19-20 Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go. Thou gavest also thy good spirit to instruct them, and withheldest not thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.

God provided for His people in the wilderness even though they did not deserve His care, and He also provides for us even when we do not deserve it. God’s care for His people continued both day and night, He never stopped caring for them, and He never stops caring for us. God gave His Spirit to His people, to guide them and instruct them, He also gives us His Spirit to guide and instruct us. God provided food and water for His people, He also provides us with all that weneed. God provided the manna one day at a time, He also provides for us one day at a time. God was faithful to His people, He is and will always be faithful to us as well.

Matt 6:24-30 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Jesus said no one can live for God and for the world at the same time, a person will live for the one he loves. If a person loves money and the things of this world more than he loves God, he will not accomplish anything for God. If a person loves the Lord God more than anything in this world, he will live to do God’s will, to do good, to help others, and to make the Lord Jesus Christ known. Jesus taught us that we should not even concern ourselves with the basic necessities of life such as food, and drink, and clothing. It is so easy to become preoccupied with these things because we can’t live without them, but we are told not to concern ourselves with them, but to trust in God to provide for all our needs. Because our God is also our Father in heaven, it is His responsibility to provide for us as a father provides for his own child.

We have become overwhelmed with money and the things that money can buy in this modern world. We are constantly being bombarded from every direction by advertising that is trying to make us think we need something that we do not really need at all. God supplies all our needs, if we do not have it, we do not need it.
Being anxious, worried, concerned, preoccupied with anything, even our most basic needs tends to draw us away from doing the will of God. Because we are of such great value to the Lord, we can be sure that he will meet all of our needs and will care for us. We do not need to concern ourselves with anything except the will of God.

Matt 6:31-34 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

When the Lord gives us direction in the way He want’s us to serve Him, we should not concern ourselves about what we will get out of it, how much money we will be paid, or what kind of benefits we will receive. The unbelievers of this world live their entire lives being concerned about getting more money and saving for the future. Christians should only be concerned with being pleasing to the Lord, with doing His will, in His way. Jesus told us that if we seek to do God’s will and seek to please Him, He will meet all our needs. We may or may not have riches in this world but we will experience fulness of joy, and will receive our reward in heaven. We must never be anxious about tomorrow’s needs today, because being anxious will only stop us from doing the will of God today; God will meet tomorrow’s needs tomorrow.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The Christian has the Lord, and does not need anyone, nor anything else; because the Lord will never leave us nor forsake us. He will always remain faithful to care for us, and to meet all our needs; maybe not in the way we would like, but He will meet all our needs according to His wisdom.

Prov 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Lord is in control at all times, and He knows what He is doing. The Lord desires for us to trust in Him completely, even when we do not know what He is doing, even when we do not understand what is happening, or why it is happening. When we acknowledge that the Lord is in control of our situation and that we can trust in Him, He will direct our ways.

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
When we honor God by trusting in Him, He honors us by supplying our needs. We honor God and demonstrate our trust in Him, when we give to others even though we have needs ourselves; God supplies all our needs according to His riches in heaven, riches beyond measure..

1Thes 5:16-18 Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

God’s will for all Christians is the same, rejoice, pray, give thanks. If we are trusting in God as He desires for us to do, we will always rejoice no matter what the circumstances, we will pray without ceasing, we will always look to Him for all our needs and for the needs of others, and we will give thanks in every circumstance; because we know He has a plan for our good in everything, in our lives.

Ps 27:13-14 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

The Lord desires to be good to us and to show Himself as being good to us, but there are times when His goodness toward us requires that He discipline us. The Lord’s discipline is goodness, but we do not always see it that way. We must continue to trust in the Lord, to draw strength and courage from Him. If we trust in Him, no matter what the circumstance, the Lord God Almighty will never fail us.

Ps 32:10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

The Lord does not care for the wicked, the unbelievers, because they are not His children. We who trust in the Lord are His children, and the Lord cares for His children as a faithful Father. The Lord cares for us so much that He even keeps track of the number of hairs on our head. The Lord is mindful of every detail of our lives, and He always watches over us, and He always works out all things for our good.

Ps 33:18-22 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Those who believe in the Lord trust in Him and hope in Him, for forgiveness of sin and eternal life. Because we become children of God when we believe in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sin, we can depend on Him to meet all our needs and to care for us. The Lord is good, loving, and kind to all who believe in Him. We honor the Lord when we trust in Him for all things, and He does not disappoint us, He is always faithful. We can depend on the Lord to help us in every situation, and to meet all our needs at all times; because He is always good, loving, and kind.

Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
