Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Bible is the word of God, given to us by the Holy Spirit of God.

The Bible is taught to us by the Holy Spirit of God.

The Bible can only be understood by faith, by believing it is the word of God.

The Bible gives us knowledge of God and of the will of God.

The Bible must be studied in order to know and understand God.

The Bible contains all that God wants us to know and understand.

The Bible is absolutely essential for salvation and spiritual growth.

God

God is holy; He is unique, different, one of a kind; there is only one God.

God always was and always will be the one and only God.

God is one and yet He is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God is perfect; He cannot become more perfect; He cannot become less perfect.

God will never change, He will always be good, loving, and kind.

God never makes a mistake; He is trustworthy; we can depend on Him.

God is present everywhere; He knows all things; He is all powerful.

God is just, righteous, merciful, and gracious; we can always depend upon Him to be fair and to do that which is right.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is God; He is the creator of all things and He holds all things together by His power.

Jesus Christ was without a sin nature; He was born of a virgin.

Jesus Christ never sinned; therefore, He was able to take our sins upon Himself.

Jesus Christ shed His blood to make atonement for our sins; He died for us.

Jesus Christ rose from the grave after three days and three nights; He gives us life.

Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of the Father where He now makes intercession for us.

Jesus Christ will return to this earth to gather all true Christians to Himself.

Jesus Christ will return to this earth as “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Jesus Christ will someday judge the living and the dead.

Jesus Christ will create a new heaven and a new earth.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit regenerates us; He gives us new life when we believe in Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit indwells every born again Christian.

The Holy Spirit teaches us, corrects us, disciplines us, encourages us, helps us, and empowers us.

The Holy Spirits leads us to pray, to worship, and to live for God.

The Holy Spirit works in us, both to will and to do the will of God.

The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in all Christians, He changes us.

The Holy Spirit always glorifies Jesus Christ.

Sin

Sin resulted in spiritual death for all of us.

Sin is a part of every person’s life; we are all born with a sin nature.

Sin separates us from God because God is Holy and cannot tolerate sin.

Sin was atoned for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Sin was forgiven when we believed in Jesus Christ.

Sin no longer separates us from God because it has been removed from us.

Salvation

Salvation means we have forgiveness of sin and a new life in Christ Jesus.

Salvation is not acquired by religion or by good works.

Salvation is ours by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Salvation belongs to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.

Salvation is a gift of God and we must receive it as a gift.

Salvation is a work of God and God will continue that work in us until we are like Jesus Christ.

Salvation is eternal, it is forever, and we cannot lose it.
