Believe in Jesus Christ

If you only believe, you will be saved, and have eternal life.

John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John the Baptist came to bear witness that Jesus is the light of the world. The world is in total darkness, but Jesus Christ came into the world to be a light, to show us the way to God.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

To receive Jesus Christ means to accept Him, instead of rejecting Him, to believe in Him. The person who receives Jesus Christ, by believing in Him, is a child of God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The person who believes in Jesus Christ has eternal life. To obtain eternal life, a person only needs to believe in Jesus Christ. Eternal life lasts forever, it has no end. If a person could lose eternal life, it would not be eternal.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The person who believes in Jesus Christ is not judged because Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for that persons sins, and they are forgiven. The person who believes in Jesus Christ is no longer guilty in God’s eyes and will not be judged.

The person who does not believe in Jesus Christ is already judged because he does not believe. If a person does not believe, he is still guilty of his sins and must pay the penalty for them. Therefore, the person who does not believe must be judged.

John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

The only work we need to do, to be saved, is to believe in Jesus Christ.

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

The word {He} in this verse is not in the original writings. Therefore, Jesus said, ”I AM”. When Moses asked God what His name was, God said, ”I AM”. Therefore, Jesus was saying unless you believe I AM , you shall die in your sins. Therefore, if we don’t believe that Jesus is God we will die in our sins.

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Paul is saying that no one is justified by doing good or by living by a set of rules. No religion, no amount of good works can justify a person before God. A person can only be justified, be made right with God, through faith in Jesus Christ. To have faith in Jesus Christ means to believe that He is the Son of God, that He is God, that He died in our place to pay the penalty for our sins, that He rose from the dead, and that He is now in heaven making intercession for us. Furthermore, it means to trust in Him and to rest in Him for justification, the forgiveness of sins.

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,

Jesus Christ promised to send the Holy Spirit to those who believe in Him. Paul is saying that the person who believes in Jesus Christ is not only saved, but he is also sealed in Christ, by the Holy Spirit. No one has the power to break the seal of the Holy Spirit of God because no one is greater than God. Therefore, no one and nothing can seperate us from Jesus Christ, not even we ourselves.

I Jn 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

The person who does not believe in Jesus Christ is calling God a liar, because God is the witness; that is, God tells us in His word that Jesus Christ is His Son and that He died in our place, to pay the penalty for our sins. Therefore, if a person does not believe in Jesus Christ, that person is calling God a liar. Only a fool would call God a liar!

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
Jesus said that the one who believes in Him has eternal life; therefore, the person who does not believe is calling Jesus a liar.

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Jesus has promised the Holy Spirit to all those who believe in Him. The Holy Spirit would never live in an unrighteous person. A person is made righteous, by believing in Jesus Christ; therefore, the Holy Spirit is able to live in the believer.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Because He lives and has the power of to raise the dead, we know we will also rise from the dead. We have His word on it.

John 12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.

To believe in Jesus Christ is to believe in God. A person does not believe in the true God, if he does not believe in Jesus Christ. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The only way to God is by believing in Jesus Christ.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Until a person comes to believe in Jesus Christ, that person is in darkness; that is, that person does not know God.

Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Sin is that which separates us from God. When we believe in Jesus Christ, we have our sins forgiven, we are accepted by God, and we have fellowship with Him because there is no longer any sin to separate us from Him.

Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Jesus Christ justifies the ungodly. The ungodly person who stops trying to work his way to heaven, and puts his faith in Jesus Christ, is justified and declared to be righteous by God because of his faith, not because of his good works.

Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

The person who believes in Jesus Christ will not be disappointed; that is, he will be saved and go to heaven.
Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

The righteous person is righteous because he believes, and not because he keeps the law. In order to be righteous by keeping the law, a person would have to be perfect, and no one is perfect.

I Jn 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

All who believe in Jesus Christ are children of God, and children love their brothers and sisters. Therefore, if a person does not love other Christians, that person is not a true child of God.

I Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, has overcomes the world, and is no longer a slave to sin; and therefore, is no longer subject to the penalty of sin.

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Jesus Christ is the one and only mediator between God and man.

IF YOU ONLY BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, YOUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN, YOU WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, AND YOU WILL BE ON YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN.

Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD.
